Fluxx: The card game with ever-changing rules! | Cardgame |

Win, once you figure out the game
The game starts innocently enough, you draw one card and play one. But that's when the fun starts. Some cards change the rules, others have other bizzare effects. After a while you figure out that victory condition (which is on a changeable card of course) usually requires some combination of "keeper" cards to be on the table.
The game is quite ingeneous and anyone who has read Hofstadter may recognise the concept (although his version is much more complex). Because of the lack of rules per se, it is a great party game and should appeal to card players of all ages.
If the game has a fault, it can be that when you first start you have to read each card as it's played. This isn't helped by the text only being printed on it one way, but this is a minor inconvenience, and it would be hard to add much more onto the standard sized cards.
The game usually completes quickly, but I have played one game which dragged on - too much New Year's Eve spirit perhaps :) A lot will depend on the mix of players.
I look forward to any expansion sets.
